Let’s quickly review the last three steps in Attracting Abundance, Prosperity and Success.
1. Remember and Reaffirm Goodness
2. Give Thanks and Be Grateful
3. Smile
Now, with Step 4, consciously relax.
Relaxation is a natural progression from the previous exercises, and is the next step in becoming a conduit for abundance, prosperity and divine light to flow through you and to you.
Because we generally live unconsciously in a paradigm based in fear, in scarcity, we begin to accumulate increasing amounts of tension in our systems. Fear creates a contraction, a closing, and consequently our bodies develop internal blockages due to chronic stress and anxiety.
This tension then, if not dissolved, results not only in physical disease, but mental and emotional problems as well. The word “disease” can be broken down into its constituent parts, dis-ease, not being at ease.
The key is in letting go. And as you shift into a paradigm and a reality that is fundamentally based in goodness, in peace and prosperity, relaxation becomes your natural state rather than the tension and anxiety that unfortunately still characterizes the common human experience.
Actively and consciously cultivating a sustained state of relaxation through meditation is one of the most powerful practices in ultimately creating a permanent paradigm shift, in awakening to consistent peace, beauty and prosperity.
Remember, “practice makes perfect,” and although we as human beings can never reach absolute perfection, the joy of perpetual progress is not only a key to happiness, but also integral to spiritual development and a life based in divine purpose.
Thus far, in the last few days, we have been progressing towards a disciplined sacred spiritual practice. The practice of the previous three steps now culminates in a concrete and focused daily exercise that you can make a part of your life and your spiritual path.
Eventually, you will become increasingly aware of tension which needs to be released, as well as the subtle experiences, thoughts and beliefs that trigger it. With consistent practice, you will develop an acute awareness of your self.
The Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) stated that, “One who know himself (or herself) is as one who knows God.” This can alternatively be translated as, “If you seek to know God, know yourself.” For the path to knowledge of God is the same as the path to knowledge of one’s self.
Relaxation is characteristic of the state of spiritual excellence which is the goal of the spiritual path, and opens your being to receiving the grace, bounty and goodness of the Universe. Through cultivating and maintaining a relaxed state of be-ing, you will not only dramatically improve your health and wellbeing, but also the flow of abundance and prosperity into your life.
The path towards spiritual excellence is the way of increasing awareness, consciousness, and thus presence and effectiveness. We are moving towards the un-limiting of human potential, and this is only the beginning.
You are capable of far more than you may currently realize. You were destined to experience happiness, joy, success, abundance and prosperity. And this is only possible through spiritual evolution. In fact, life tests and challenges us to grow on a daily basis. And I congratulate you on stepping up to that challenge and taking the first few steps to reclaiming your divine birthright: Paradise, the Kingdom of Heaven.
Consciously Relax
To begin consciously relaxing, simply sit comfortably in an upright position and ensure that you will not be disturbed for about 15-20 minutes. Close your eyes and begin breathing gently. As you shift your awareness to your breath, gently begin making your affirmations of goodness and truth. Give thanks. Smile. And with each gentle breath, release tension in your body.
To your divine success, and may you be blessed with the divine grace of God always.
